I'm lovin' this. I like the song and its message...the video is nice and goes well with the song. I love the cameos from all the beautiful "independent" black women in the video...and of course Trey Songz's appearance with his sexy new haircut.

Better Late Than Never...

So the 4th season of the Hills premiered Monday and my friend couldn’t even sit through literally the first 30 seconds…she miraculously hasn’t been sucked into the drama, pettiness, and addictiveness that is the Hills. So I guess I'll start from the beginning- the episode starts with Lauren and Whitney "working" at People's Revolution. Their conversation sets up the episode's drama centered around the awkward living situation between her, Lo, and Audrina. She then tells her of her date with Doug, some guy from her past.

Heidi tells her coworker that her sister, Holly, is coming to visit. I don't know why Heidi puts up with Spencer (oh that's right, their relationship is centered around publicity). He's rude to her sister and last time I checked, blood is thicker than water. Nobody would be mistreating a family member of mine and get away with it.
Lauren goes on her boring date with boring Doug- don't think they'll last. Thank God. Not even worth talking about any longer.
Spencer continues to be unnecessarily rude to Heidi's sister. And proves he doesn't do jack with his life as he wakes up whenever he wants and does nothing. We'll see how this turns out if Heidi's sister does indeed move to L.A. like she suggested.

Lauren throws a birthday party for Audrina to try and alleviate tension between the roomates. Lo...what can I say about her. I used to like her when her appearances on the show were scarce. Now I wish she would disappear. She made no effort whatsoever to be nice to Audrina. I'm so glad Audrina stood up for herself and told her she could care less about Lo and her fake efforts of friendship. The episode ends on that note and leaves me wanting more. Stay tuned for next week's episode where Spencer's sister, Stephanie, goes out with Doug and Whitney goes on a date of her own...Monday at 10 on MTV.

It's a new Season..Sombody pass the salt.

Well kids Making the Band has started AGAIN!..So far it's alright. I didn't expect Ms. Laurie Ann Gibson to return on the first episode but obviously they really want people to tune in from jump start. As far as her being there she's definitely pulling her weight the boys are doing great with there moves and looking more and more better as a group. Now Donnie I really don't know what's going on with his song and dancing but I wouldn't pay a nickel to see him snap his finger around and whisper in the microphone talking about he'll take me there...umm I'm were I need to be already thank you. Then there is Danity Kane they look good as always, don't really know what's up with D Woods hair but it seem like she's going through....we get the point you wanna be different BUT TONE THAT DOWN. Oh and Ms. Aubrey you took alittle to long on pulling up your shirt when you knew darn well you didn't have on a bra to begin with...you shouldn't have been flipping around with those silicon jugs anyway. Until Next week that's all I got.

It's sad to think that Bernie Mac is gone, which I am sure has left us all with the thought "What will happen now?" I found this short clip of Anjelah Johnson ladies you should be able to relate totally, guys....you can laugh too it's alright.



Although it will never be the same I think it still has chance to continue to be great.

I originally felt like I couldn't relate to this song at all because where I come from is the complete opposite of the depictions in this video...but when I reflect on the lyrics, there are many things that don't apply to me but the lyrics paint a vivid picture of what it's like in their shoes. In reference to the chorus- And I'm grindin' until I'm tired/ And you ain't grindin' until you die/ So I'm grinding with my eyes wide/ Looking to find/ A way through the day/ The life of the night/ Dear Lord you've took so many of my people/ I'm just wondering why you haven't taken my life/ Like what the hell am I doing right?

When you think about it, most of us have had people we are close to or know pass away and it makes us realize how easily that could of been us. You may even wonder why you are here instead of them. It puts things into perspective and helps us appreciate life. We all experience the trials and tribulations life presents. But whether you're living what's portrayed in this video or you are living the "good life" in the Hollywood Hills, you have life and life is what you make it. I'm rambling...that's just me trying to be deep, but I don't know that's what I got out of it...Let me know what you think.

If you dont know this woman you have surely been missing out! This Cali native is mostly known for her charm on both RENO 911, and Clean House not to mention her various appearances in other movies and sitcoms. This strong, Black female can not be stopped to say the least. If you did'nt already know she has landed a sitcom of her own 'DO NOT DISTURB' which we should all look out for this fall on FOX. In the mean time look out for her on Clean House which comes on the Style Channel every wednesday at 10, you won't miss her trust me!!!!

I can't even lie Ms. Aubrey is starting to work a nerve she has a decent voice but if you ask me she's getting carried away from injecting only god knows what in her face gigglying around with double D's and seeking attention 'any way she can get it' she needs to take a seat somewhere. DIDDY please pull that leash alittle tighter because your girl is running in the wrong direction with her fame...

Unsigned Talent

You may recognize the face from the Canadian teen drama Degrassi: The Next Generation, but you probably aren't familiar with the name. Let me introduce you to an artist by the name of Drake. He hails from Toronto, Canada but don't let that fool you, he's a force to be reckoned with. His transition from actor to rapper has been successful thus far. His single "Replacement Girl" featuring Trey Songz premiered on BET's 106 & Park (he is the first unsigned Canadian artist to do so). He has worked with various artists including Dwele, Little Brother, The Clipse, Trey Songz, and more recently Lil Wayne. His debut mixtape, Room For Improvement, was released February 14, 2006 and his second, Comeback Season (pictured above), on October 31, 2007. He is working on his debut album, Thank Me Later, which is slated to be released sometime next year. Oh yea, he sings too- jack of all trades.

Shear MESS!!!

Now don't get me wrong I love BRAVO, but what is up with the Shear Genius show? Although I only watch it because its comes on after the show that made BRAVO what it is today ( Project Runway EVERY wednesday at it's new time 9pm...make it work people!!!!!) I always ask myself this....how is it that any of these contestants can be considered any sort of shear genius when all they work on is the same type of hair? I see no diversity. Yes, there has been male and female clients but it lacks people of color....I want to see perms being done, weave being strapped on and glued, hot combing and all the other elements that go along with it.....What is up with that? Project Runway got the message how long will it take to reach them....

It's about time! If I'm not mistaken Mr. O may be the last male R & B artist to have cut his hair. Why he had to go out of his way to make it seem like something it wasn't...only God knows! I personally don't think it was that serious, whether he had that hair from childhood or not IT'S BEEN TIME FOR A CHANGE...he just realized it.

Donnie ft. Diddy- Take You There

This is the debut video from Donnie from Making the Band. I personally don't like the song or the video. I think he's trying too hard and comes off like a cheap Justin Timberlake. I think Diddy should've tried harder to market Donnie in a more original, less cheesy way. Well maybe the video wasn't bad, but it was unoriginal and not first single worthy...he didn't make the band, but will he make it on his own? Tell us what you think.

Day 26- Since You've Been Gone

The boys of Day 26 are very talented, great voices, and well-put together, but I can't help but think of 112 everytime I see them. I used to be a huge 112 fan so that's not necessarily a bad thing, but male R&B groups are kinda played out. Nonetheless, I like the song and video. It's nice...nothing new, but nice.

Danity Kane ft. Missy Elliot- Bad Girl


I think their latest single is nice. I'm not in love with it but it may grow on me. The video on the other hand, is no good. It looks cheap and tacky. And yes I'm gonna say it...the video reminds me of the Pussycat dolls.
